I don't know why i am here.

I looked around the beautiful place. No war seemed to be known here. It was snowing and little flakes fell in my hair, but melting immediatelly. I was really hot. Idon't know why, I am usually freezing but for some reason...
I puled a loose strand of hair behind my ear, and set down my 52 caliber Rifle. I saw bloody footprints on the ground, but didn't feel like following them just yet...

then out of the nowhere an explosion went of about 50 feet away from her and she saw an american run at full speed folowing the bloody tracks with his gun at the ready stopping every now and then to make sure its clear

I was training with my "fake appendage", running, shooting, bending down to hide... And it was pretty hard. Everytime I took a step it was kind of bouncy, and propelled me just a little too far than I wanted to go. So I fell down a lot. But I was getting better at it, bit by bit.
There was a sudden explosion nearby. I hopped off the ground, leaning on Ben's shoulder. He had opted to stay with me and train some more.

so serena ready to kill the damn japs thats taken over this city" i asked thoughfully as i blew on my clip then shoved it in my gun

I looked, at the americans, who were blowing stuff up. why are they so destructive?? i thought it was so peaceful here, until they came.....

I thought about Chineko. "I'm not killing Japanese. Anyone else. But not them." Ben nodded, agreeing with me.

chineko hopped out of the plane. her leg with died blood on it was still dangling next to her. she threw off her parachute and jumped out. (she loves taking risks and making other people wet their pants)

I started running again, and I was doing really good, too, right up until I tripped over a rock and went sprawling into the dirt. I sat up and spit dirt out of my mouth, rubbing my face. "Aw man, this is hard," I whined. I still had five months left until I could go back to the army and look for my dad, crossing the globe.

she saw sereana. "hi sereana!!!!!" she caught a branch, flipped, and landed. then tripped and reopened her wound. she looked up at her from the ground. "im back!!! i got bored killing old men crocked on viagra so i tracked you down by hacking into the u.s. security and looked over your file. did you know that you lost 3 of your teeth when you were four?? and you missed your dentist apoinment when you were 10??"

I looked at Chineko. "No. Should I?" I stood up, leaning slightly on my real leg. I pulled my little shot gun from my belt and fired at a target. Good as always. But when I started running, I could line it up, but then my bad leg proppelled me forward too far.

she hopped up. and screamed. "THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN!!" she jumped over serena and snatched her gun. made some adjustments in the air. and when she landed she shot at the target. blows the whole damn thing up. she turned around. "that was cool!!! no wonder you guys do that all the time!!!" she was sitting flat on her butt.

I fell on my face again. "Damn, I really hate this!" I shouted. I grabbed my gun from Chineko, put a new clip in, and shot the hell out of the ground I had just been lying in.

chineko looked confused. "why you shooting at the ground?? the ground doesnt shoot back."

"I am shoting the ground 'cause I want it to die," I said, grinding my teeth together. "I want to stop falling on it, and learn how to run properly with a fake leg. And I want to find my dad."

chineko sat up. "well, i started swinging on trees before i could walk, maybe you need to strengthin your arms and balance before you can work on the big stuff, like runniong, and finding dads. the americans killed my chichi (means papa in japanese) before i became a gesha. and i worked hard so i can avenge. but i realized that it was only his job to kill."

"I lost my dad to the army a few years ago," I said. "They say he died, but I don't believe them. I know he's out there, but I just don't know where." I sighed. "How can I stengthen my arms and perfect my motor skills in five months? If I'm not perfect I'll be taken out of the army."

she dropped her happy talk. this is where she means things. "okay. for one thing, stop thinking about the future and think of the now. (she doesnt cuss cause she doesnt know any in english) first, stopp running. youll only hurt yourself. and second. walk. and third, can you help me with this?" she motioned to her mangled left leg. her thigh bone was splinterd.

"Sure," I said. I took her over to Ben. "She needs help, her thigh bone is splintered. Do we have any splints?"
He nodded, ducking into the health tent.

her eyes got wide. "thank you. but back on the subjeact. just walk torward the target and find your balance. it will push you farther than your real leg so find the middle man*" (a term or expression for. find whats comfortable for you between too much and too little)

"Okay," I said. "Ben will help you. I'm going out to practice."
I walked back out to the targets.

after the splint was set she hopped in a tree to watch as if she didnt hav a wound at all.

I walked past the targets at a brisk pace, shooting every now and then. And, happily, I was getting really good, until I walked straight into a tree, then fell on my back. I stayed there. "I shouldn't be in the army anyway," I said. "I'm way too clumsy to do stuff like this."

i hopped over from tree to tree. making it look like second nature. "i think you need to work on balance. have you taken martial arts?" she was at the tip od a 3 milimeter branch bending over to look at sereana.

"I tried when I was really young," I admitted. "But I sucked, so I quit. I'm usually very likely to quit things I'm not good at. It's my true fault." I sat up, then started walking around again.

she squatted at the end of the branch pulling out 2 apples and tossed one to serana. " so you heard about yin and yang right? and zen and the cycle of the world?"
